Researcher’s night – Thank you!

ByElla Toppari

Researcher’s night brought people interested in science and research to Pori’s SAMK campus on friday 25.9. Thank you to everyone that participated in the event!

In the event, people got to see, hear and learn about asteroid research, space observation, and planetary defense. Tomáš Kohout held a lecture about protecting Earth from potentially hazardous asteroids, and the audience got to learn about space observation equipment with Porin Karhunvartijat and SAMK students. There was also a possibility to learn about asteroid impacts in practice with cosmic billiards and asteroid impact experiments.

Thank you to all that participated, we’ll see you next time!
